Deliver
Consistently provide working software that meets business goals, stakeholder expectations, and user needs. Focus on real-world outcomes and value rather than simply producing code, features, or completed tasks.
Deliver well-defined, traceable, high-quality, testable, and secure software.
These six principles guide how I think about requirements, architecture, implementation, validation, and delivery.
Consistently provide working software that meets business goals, stakeholder expectations, and user needs. Focus on real-world outcomes and value rather than simply producing code, features, or completed tasks.
Explicitly state requirements, designs, interfaces, and responsibilities. Build a shared understanding through collaboration and documentation to reduce ambiguity and accelerate sound decisions.
Maintain a transparent connection from an idea or requirement through decisions, features, tests, commits, and deployment. Make it possible to understand what changed, why, and how it was validated.
Design for reliability, performance, usability, and maintainability. Build quality into planning, implementation, review, and release instead of trying to add it at the end.
Design modular, predictable software that can be verified through unit, integration, system, and acceptance tests. Automate validation to support continuous delivery and confident refactoring.
Treat security as a fundamental requirement. Protect sensitive data and mitigate vulnerabilities through least privilege, defense in depth, validation, authentication, and proactive risk management.
